Shin et al., [32] analysed germline variants in a panel containing 64 cancer predisposition genes in Korean breast cancer patients with clinical features of hereditary cancer syndrome, and detected BRCA1/2 variants in 63.2% of patients were carriers for and 40.0% were carriers for non-BRCA1/2 genes such as CHEK2, PALB2, MRE11, and RAD50. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and breast cancer.
