Using a panel containing 93 cancer predisposition genes in Egyptian patients with familial breast cancer, Nassar et al., [33] identified 27 deleterious germline variants in 11 cancer susceptibility genes including ATM, BRCA1, BRCA2, VHL, MSH6, APC, CHEK2, MSH2, MEN1, PALB2, and MUTYH. The gene discussed is CHEK2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
