RNF213 and neoplasm: RNF213 could bind ISG15 treated with IFN-I in human embryonic kidney 293T (HEK293T) cells, Henrietta Lacks (HeLa) cells, and tumor histiocyte-like monocyte 1 (THP-1) cells and associate with ISGylated proteins on LDs in vitro, suggesting that RNF213 is able to exert cellular antiviral activity by similar mechanisms (Thery et al., 2021).
