CCL2 and neoplasm: Xiaoguang Li et al. reported that the blockade of CCL2/CCR2 signaling, achieved through CCR2 knockout or using a CCR2 antagonist, hindered the recruitment of inflammatory monocytes and prevented the infiltration and M2 polarization of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), leading to the reversal of immunosuppression within the tumor microenvironment.
