Indeed, clinicopathological features of CLL, such as levels of β2-microglobulin, ZAP-70 and CD38 expressions, mutation status of the immunoglobulin heavy chain variable region (IGHV), and other genetic mutations, are recognized to influence the disease prognosis and could be linked to the fatal outcome (Shuai et al., 2020). Here, ZAP70 is linked to B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
