We collected 41 HCC tissues and paired normal tissues and confirmed that MALAT1 levels were higher in tumor tissue than in normal tissue of most HCC patients (Fig. 1b). We also detected the mRNA expression level of MALAT1 in various human HCC cell lines and found that the expression level of MALAT1 in Huh7 and Hep3B cells was higher than that of MHCC97H and PLC/PRF/5 cell lines (Fig. 1c).
