A higher ECW/TBW ratio and PEW were independently associated with elevated risks of all-cause death even after adjustment for sex, age, hemodialysis durations, history of diabetes and CVD events, and CRP (adjusted HR [aHR]: 3.63, 95% CI 2.18–6.06, p < 0.0001; aHR: 1.79, 95% CI 1.10–2.90, p = 0.018) (Table 3). Here, CRP is linked to diabetes mellitus.
