In contrast to the corresponding control tissues, ZBTB34 is expressed at significantly higher levels in the tumor tissues of cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL) (P<0.001), esophageal carcinoma (ESCA) (P<0.05), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC) (P<0.001), liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC or HCC) (P<0.001), pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PCPG) (P<0.05), and stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) (P<0.001), as shown in Figure 1A. This evidence concerns the gene ZBTB34 and hereditary pheochromocytoma-paraganglioma.
