The Wald ratio showed no causal relationship between IL-1α and delirium (OR = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.60–1.22, P = 0.38) in Suhre et al. When we set the instrument P-value threshold to 5e-6, the results of the MR analysis indicated that there was no causal relationship between IL-1α and the risk of delirium in either the Suhre et al. dataset (ORivw = 0.94, 95% CI: 0.76–1.16, Pivw = 0.55) or the Sun et al. dataset (ORivw = 1.02, 95% CI: 0.85–1.21, Pivw = 0.85). The gene discussed is IL1A; the disease is delirium.
