These results suggested that the candidate MAGE-A3 epitopes could stimulate to produce functional antigen-specific CD8+ T cells in the NSCLC patients, and in particular, the MAGE-A3-Mp2, MAGE-A3-Mp4 and MAGE-A3-Mp6 epitope-specific CD8+ T cells were likely already present in the patients. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
