IFNG and cancer: We examined the mutations and types of variation in IFN-γ-related genes in each cancer type and discovered that uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC) had the highest percentage (33%) of single nucleotide variations (SNVs) in STAT1, followed by skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), LUSC, and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD).
