Interestingly, angiogenesis-related molecules HSPG2, FLT1, TIE1, HIF1A and KDR gradually decreased from the tumor to the interface to the normal zone (Fig. 5d), suggesting that breast tissue in breast cancer patients should not be simply divided into tumor and normal zones, and that the interface zone should be considered. This evidence concerns the gene TIE1 and breast carcinoma.
