ZNF77 and cancer: Thedifferences in biological activity are likely to be associated withthe change in the size and physicochemical properties of Pt-succ-DFO derivatives compared to Pt1, which could influence,for example, the extent of cancer cell accumulation as previouslyshown for other Pt1 derivatives.19 Alternatively, a partially antagonistic interaction between Pt1 photoproducts and the released succ-DFO moietyin A2780 cells could also be partly responsible for the lower photocytotoxicityobserved for Pt-succ-DFO compounds compared to the parent complex Pt1.
