Cavallin et al. (2018) showed that KSHV lytic replication as well as the KSHV-oncogene vGPCR activates PDGFRA signaling through upregulation of its ligands PDGFA/B, and that blocking of PDGFRA signaling is anti-tumorigenic indicating that stable inhibition of PDFGR-signaling has potential for KS treatment [14]. This evidence concerns the gene PDGFRA and Kaposi's sarcoma.
