IRF7 and lymphoma: IRF7C consists of 164 amino acid residues and unique 13 aa sequence at the C-terminus difference from IRF 7A; it is not only a dominant negative regulator that blocks the activation of IFN for IRF7A and IRF7B but is also associated with EBV transformation of human primary B cells as well as EBV type III latency and plays a role in the development of lymphoma (10, 12, 14).
