Furthermore, autoantibodies against laminin 332 have been described in individual patients with bullous pemphigoid, anti-p200 pemphigoid, and epidermolysis bullosa acquisita in addition to the disease-typical autoantibodies against, i.e. BP180/type XVII collagen, p200 protein, and type VII collagen, respectively (6–11). This evidence concerns the gene COL17A1 and acquired epidermolysis bullosa.
