For instance, in LGG, HAS2 expression is upregulated and positively correlated with CAF infiltration, but negatively correlated with infiltration of B cells, CD8+ T cells, and myeloid dendritic cells (mDCs), which was already testified by scientists showing that HA impairs the function of immune cells by reducing their migration and activation; therefore, high levels of HAS2 expression are often associated with reduced immune cell infiltration and poor prognosis in various types of cancer, such as breast and pancreatic cancer [23,24].
