We observed a significant positive correlation between the relative proportion of malaria-specific nnCD4+ T cells producing IL-10 and Pf parasite prevalence during pregnancy (Rs = 0.55, p = 0.00014, Fig. 3c [spearman correlation]), and this association remained significant after adjusting for gravidity, maternal age, and parasitaemia status at the time of enrolment (Supplemental Table S7).
