Overexpression of USP14 promoted HFD-induced epididymal white adipose tissue (eWAT) and body weight gain and glucose intolerance and further increased liver weight-to-body weight (LW/BW) ratios, liver and serum lipid content, and liver alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activities (Fig. 2A–E; Fig. S2G), but food intake did not differ significantly (Fig. S2H). This evidence concerns the gene USP14 and Glucose intolerance.
