The immunomodulatory advantages of SHEDs compared to BM-MSCs have been reported, for which they present significant effects on the inhibition of Th cells and IL17 in vitro, even highlighting that transplantation of SHEDs effectively reverses SLE in mice, increasing the proportion of regulatory T cells, reducing IL17 levels, and preventing autoimmunity and inflammation compared to BM-MSCs [76,82].
