Molecular docking of the identified compounds on the active site of COX-2 and TNF -α was studied to find out how they affect the pathway controlled by the COX-2 and TNF -α protein, which is a key mediator of inflammation in diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and plays a major role in oxidation and early inflammation, etc. (p < 0.01). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
