The treatment of HCC cells with the mTOR inhibitor Torin-2 (9-(6-aminopyridin-3-yl)-1-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]benzo[h][1,6]naphthyridin-2-one) significantly blocked their cellular growth and induced apoptosis, along with the down-regulation of UHRF1. This evidence concerns the gene UHRF1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
