ACSL3 and asthma: Nadeau K. et al. found a link between regulatory T cells (Tregs) and greater methylation of the FOXP3 gene in asthmatic children exposed to more ambient pollution [43], and a separate study found a link between the methylation of acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 3 (ACSL3) in children with prenatal exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and asthma symptoms [44].
