ANKHD1 and acute myeloid leukemia: Analysis of mRNA expression levels of ANKHD1 in a range of both normal and paired cancerous tissue types reveals that ANKHD1 mRNA levels are increased in 13 of the 31 cancers examined (Figure 9A), with the largest increases in expression seen in oesophageal carcinoma, acute myeloid leukaemia, and stomach adenocarcinoma [63].
