In a single-center study on the relationship between the coagulation profile and morbidity/mortality in COVID-19 patients performed by A. E. Abd El-Lateef et al., the D-dimer was shown to be a less powerful parameter to predict disease severity and overall survival, compared to FVIII, the von-Willebrand factor antigen, and ristocetin cofactor activity. Here, F8 is linked to COVID-19.
