MAP3K14 has been found to be differentially expressed and hypermethylated in lung squamous cell carcinoma, where it regulates the NF-κB activity pathway and participates in NF-κB-inducing signaling through receptors of the tumor-necrosis/nerve-growth factor (TNF/NGF) family [26]. Here, NFKB1 is linked to squamous cell lung carcinoma.
