KIR3DL2 has the propensity to suppress tumor immune surveillance and promote maternal fetal immune tolerance. Since KIR family receptors are not restricted to subsets of NK cells but are also expressed by γδ, CD8 and CD4 αβ T cells involved in health and various diseases [184,185], more detailed investigations are needed to assess the outcome of interactions of KIR-HLA variants on these different kinds of T cells.
