Kikuchi et al. [106], Kashiwagi et al. [41], and Monti Hughes et al. [107] studied maleimide-functionalized closo-dodecaborate conjugated to bovine serum albumin (MID:BSA) or human albumin (MID:AC) in three different in vivo tumor models, a subcutaneous colon tumor model in mice, an orthotopic glioblastoma model in rats, and a carcinogen-induced oral cancer model in hamsters (respectively).
