EPCAM and metastatic prostate carcinoma: A comparison of the number of CTCs that were isolated from the blood of patients with metastatic prostate cancer using the cmHsp70.1 (range 2–4000; mean 803 ± 1192) and EpCAM (range 0–2560; mean 393 ± 660) mAb-based bead approaches revealed significantly higher CTC counts (* p < 0.05) when using the cmHsp70.1 mAb-based approach (Figure 5A).
