Overall, high KCTD12 expression in LUAD (P = 0.000), KIRC (P = 0.008), PAAD (P = 0.01), sarcoma (SARC, P = 0.044), KIRP (P = 0.038), and pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PCPG, P = 0.044) patients was associated with good prognosis, but high KCTD12 expression in HNSC (P = 0.043), UCEC (P = 0.001), STAD (P = 0.015) and thymoma (THYM, P = 0.026) patients with poor overall survival (OS) (Fig. 2b). The gene discussed is KCTD12; the disease is hereditary pheochromocytoma-paraganglioma.
