CDKN2A and neoplasm of oropharynx: The findings regarding the association of HPV with the changes in the gene that encodes p16INK4a and the induction of tumor proliferation can be the basis of future studies and the choice of therapeutic strategies in the case of oropharyngeal tumors, potentially leading to the accuracy of the diagnosis and pre/post-therapeutic prognostic values related to the presence of HPV.
