There are many kinases that are involved in tau hyperphosphorylation, including the death-associated protein kinase 1 (DAPK) which is also associated with the late-onset of AD [29,30], Ca2+/Calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CAMKII) which is involved in LTP formation [31], and Fyn, CDK5, GSK-3β as aforementioned above. Here, DAPK1 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
