At 12 hours post-infection, the most enriched canonical pathways were the protein kinase C signaling in T lymphocytes, TNF-like weak inducer of apoptosis, extrinsic prothrombin activation pathway, and B-cell receptor signaling, and at 24 hours, enriched pathways include FXR/RXR and LXR/RXR activation, p38 MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinase), and extracellular signal-regulated kinase/MAPK signaling pathway. Here, TNF is linked to infection.
