While similar neurophysiological alterations have been reported in the hippocampus of sporadic AD patients [35, 82] and in the precuneus of symptomatic PSEN1 mutation carriers using source-modeled EEG [83], pre-symptomatic PSEN1 mutation carriers showed a decrease in relative theta power and an increase in alpha2 power in the precuneus [83, 84].
