Overall, patients with LEI > 0 or patients with SPARCC > 0 had higher mean baseline C-reactive protein (CRP) (8.3–19.7 mg/L) and arthritis pain (VAS) scores (44.2–62.8), compared with patients with LEI = 0 and SPARCC = 0 (7.1–9.8 mg/L and 45.9–51.0, respectively).
