These CNAs were not observed in other individuals or genotypes, including heterozygous/mono-allelic TP53-mutated colonies (Fig. 4d), but are a well-recognised feature of transformation to MDS/AML in SDS36 and are consistent with the CNAs that are recognised to be associated with biallelic TP53 mutant clones in cancer more generally37,38. Here, TP53 is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome.
