As shown in several studies, the TLR8 G allele (rs3764880A/G) was associated with susceptibility to tuberculosis and bacterial load; the TLR2 CC genotype (rs3804100C/T) was associated with susceptibility to latent tuberculosis infection; and the TLR4 SNP rs4986790A/G (Asp299Gly) was associated with susceptibility to pulmonary tuberculosis in the Iranian population [34,35,36,37,38,39,40,41]. This evidence concerns the gene TLR4 and tuberculosis.
