Our research showed that the 6 most critical glaucoma pathogenic genes, such as the NFKB1, IL18, and TLR9, are closely relevant to strains such as Bifidobacterium adolescentis and Lactobacillus paracasei JS1, which may affect the progression of the disease through metabolites such as Equol, Butyrate, and Indole (Supplement Fig. 1). The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is glaucoma.
