Intriguingly, we found that some of the 50 peaks are located close to genes related to cell signaling (e.g., dscam1, epha5, ptprfb, hhla2b, cdh18, rasgef1bb, and raftlin), and are associated with liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (e.g., epha5, raftlin, hhla2b1, and gadd45a, Fig. 5B-D). This evidence concerns the gene RFTN1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
