We developed a risk score for predicting up to 14-year all-cause incident dementia in individuals 50–73 years old, and evaluated it against three published risk scores.9, 11 A model consisting of age, education, diabetes, depression, stroke, parental history of dementia, material deprivation, hypertensive status, cholesterol status, sex, and household occupancy achieved a good-to-strong predictive accuracy and was well calibrated, with and without APOE4. Here, APOE is linked to Stroke.
