This confounding factor results from the evolutionary timeline of myeloma therapies; in our centre, mobilizations with G‐CSF only took place during the early years of the COVID‐19 pandemic, where IMiD‐based induction formed the vast majority of first line treatments. In addition, the follow‐up of our study is too short for evaluation of progression‐free survival to be meaningful at this point and is likely to be confounded by the variations in induction regimens. The gene discussed is CSF3; the disease is plasma cell myeloma.
