ACLY expression and activity proved to be aberrantly expressed in liver cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, stomach cancer and other cancers (Granchi, 2018; Merino Salvador et al., 2017; Wen et al., 2019), and its pharmacological or genetic inhibition significantly inhibited cancer cell proliferation and induced apoptosis. This evidence concerns the gene ACLY and gastric neoplasm.
