TNFRSF1B and cytomegalovirus infection: Intriguingly, we observed that various mRNAs coding for mediators of TNFR2 signaling are continuously transcribed and appear to be translated (as indicated by the ribosome footprints) after HCMV infection, and that HCMV even enhances the abundance and ribosome occupancy of mRNAs coding for factors inherently involved in TNFR2 signaling such as TRAFs, and IKKs (Figure 2C).
