Zhou et al. (2020) suggested that even in patients with the same sex, BRAF V600E mutation status, tumor size, ETE status and pathological TNM stage, the pretracheal and bilateral paratracheal lymph node metastasis rates were higher in PTCI than in lobar PTC (pretracheal LNM: 35.6 vs. 13.8%; bilateral paratracheal LNM: 24.1 vs. 6.9%).
