The PDGFRA gene is known to be associated with somatic mutations that result in its fusion with specific genes in blood-forming stem cells, leading to blood disorders in the category of chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms.46 Notably, most proneural GBMs harbor a mutation in TP53, in conjunction with overexpression of PDGFRA.47 Here, TP53 is linked to hematologic disorder.
