PTGS2 and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Interestingly, ASM treatment caused a significant decrease in COX-2 levels in a dose-dependent manner compared to the ASU-treated pancreatic cancer cells, suggesting that the ASM extract contains bioactive compounds specifically targeting COX-2 signaling and potentially mediating anti-inflammatory responses that confer its enhanced anti-pancreatic cancer activity compared to the ASU extract.
