TP53 and cancer: Using SNP tools like MAPP, PhD-SNP, PolyPhen-1, PolyPhen-2, SIFT, SNAP, Provean, FATHMM, Panther-PSEP, SNPs & GO, and MutPred2, the nature of SNPs as deleterious, neutral, benign, disease-causing, and cancer-causing was determined with predicted percentages that ranged from 51% (TP53, pD228N) to 87% (TP53, pR249M).
