Significant differences were also found in NT-proBNP concentrations in dogs with lower BCS (1478.8 pmol/l, 1105.2–1852.3 pmol/l) compared to dogs with normoweight (923.5 pmol/l, 631.4–1215.6 pmol/l) or overweight/obesity (819.2 pmol/l, 602.26–1036.24 pmol/l) (ANOVA, F = 5.83, P = 0.02). The gene discussed is NPPB; the disease is obesity disorder.
