These results indicate a potential association between GATA4 and cardiac hypertrophy through the mediation of ADAM12. Also identified were some variants (P < 10−5), located in the zinc-finger family genes, such as ZNF595 and ZNF750, that act as cofactors with the zinc-finger TF GATA4 (Supplementary Table 7). Here, ZNF750 is linked to cardiac hypertrophy.
