CD8A and neoplasm: In control mice, large numbers of CD8+ T cells were distributed in the normal mucosa around tumor, resulting a poor tumor-infiltrating CD8+ T cells; On the contrary, knockdown of ASCL2 in tumor cells resulted in fewer activated CAFs followed by reduced infiltration of CD8+ T cells, and without obvious effect on CAFs proliferation (Fig. 3K and Supplementary Fig. 4H).
