To be differentiated from CRC, in UC patients both circ-SMARCA5 and CEA could be used as diagnostic markers where circ-SMARCA5 superior to CEA; in polyp patients CEA could be a diagnostic marker only, and in piles patients circ-SMARCA5 superior to CEA followed by circ-RHOT1 for prediction of piles. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and colorectal carcinoma.
